Liberty truck - model by me created with Blender. When Americans joined Great War their army landed in France with many truck. They had very various truck from 273 producers. Ordering spare parts and service for all these trucks was horror. So Quartermasters Corps decided to desing stardardized model, which could be manufactured by many producers. New truck was named Class-B Standardized Military Truck, but today is rather better knows as "Liberty truck". Official production of the First-type truck began in January 1918 with parts being produced by 150 different companies and assembly contracts awarded to 15 companies. Army ordered43000 of such vehicles however after 9 000 was manufactured Great War was over and contract was cancelled. Only 3 000 were sent to Europe and vehicles arrived just at the end of war. Following the war, many Class-B Liberty trucks were sold-off surplus to the civilian market and other militaries. Poland bought circa 50 -100 trucks.
